  • Frozen, fresh or wild turkey for Thanksgiving?

What kind of turkey are you making for Thanksgiving? We are going to try to make a fresh and a frozen one. We usually only bake frozen ones so getting one from a local butcher will be a treat.

I've never had a wild turkey for Thanksgiving before! I'm intrigued. I wonder how it would taste. We've almost always had a frozen turkey. Perhaps I'll seek out a fresh one.

We always buy a frozen turkey while they are on sale, thaw it, and then brine it for a few days leading up to Thanksgiving. We'll bake it the day of and then start making different leftover dishes with it a day or two later.

The only kind of turkey I've ever had over Thanksgiving was store-bought and frozen. I wonder if fresh turkey tastes better? I don't even know where we'd find one!
