  • Beef Stew for Pot Roast?

    Hello!

I am crock potting a pot roast for church Sunday (pot luck).
I usually get the McCormicks pot roast seasoning pouch but they were out so I got the beef stew with onion instead.
Then I started wondering just how similar they really are.

    So that's my question.
Is beef stew seasonings close enough to pot roast or should I go back to the store?
    thanks in advance!

May taste different than the pot roast seasoning but they will be fine.

Pot roast has a lot more fat in it than stew beef, so you might want to be a little careful with it.

Has anyone got a good recipe for potato soup please? Alternatively suggest what to do with some wrinkly old potatoes which have grown roots already?...
