I have to say my favorite way to cook just about all veggies is plain and simple. I clean and rinse my veggies then put them in a microwave safe container and cover it with one of those plate "domes". And microwave a couple minutes at a time till the veggies turn bright in color and are fork tender. No added anything. The veggies have enough moisture to get the job done. Vitamins and Minerals aren't lost in water that is thrown out and the veggies aren't water logged. I still like to sauté and roast veggies but steamed with just some butter added is my favorite way.
