    I have several family members that grow cucumbers and then pickle them, but so far, none have been able to keep the cucumber's crunchy texture. They taste great after they are pickled but they are always soft, unlike store-bought pickles. What's the secret to making home-canned pickles stay crunchy?

    I don't can cukes but I think you should use pickling lime. Sorry, but I don't have a recipe to share. Try Southern Living or Cooks.com.
