Flavored Syrups

I just tried a recipe the other day to make a ginger flavored simple syrup that then is mixed with sparkling water to form ginger ale and I love it. Very simple, too, as you just boil the ginger in along with the water and sugar as you make the simple sugar.

I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find more recipes for other types of ways to flavor syrup like this? I've done a little googling but to be honest I don't even know what to call this. I'm sure that there

Google search for "Flavored Syrups" and then list what is available commercially. That will give you a starting point to search for that flavor as a "recipe". Unfortunately not all syrups are quite as simple as the ginger ale.
