Has anyone ever tried this?

It's pretty much a pound cake that's made with 7-up, butter, flour, sugar and eggs, along with some lemon extract. Straight-forward ingredients.

It has a lemony flavor and taste, and it is oh-sooooo good! I make it quite often at times. One of the few pound cake recipes that I know of that does not require any baking powder, milk or salt!:)

It's a bit of a strange ingredient but I bet it gives the cake a great punch to it. Plus no one would ever be able to guess that a fizzy drink was used as an ingredient - it's madness lol. I love having secret recipes that my friends don't know about! I think I might give it a go.

Good!!

It gives a very lemony taste to the cake along with the lemon extract, since it's a citrus soda.
