How many of you own either of these machines? What do you mainly like to make with them?

I own both, but I use the food processor more. I like to chop, slice and mince things like veggies, herbs, garlic and small onions in it.

It really does save time in the kitchen, especially when you've got a big meal to prepare! Gets you out of the kitchen fast!!

I have both - a huge Cusinart food processor and an Oster 16 spd blender.

I like using the FP, but it really is huge, heavy, takes up lots of counter space, so I mostly use the blender if it will work for the recipe I am using.

I too have both. I have a huge Cusinart Food processor, and a black and Decker blender. I use them for blend soups, I like to puree my onion, and garlic in the food processor before I make barbecue sauce. I need a new blender but will get that in a bit.

I have the Oster Kitchen Center with all the accessories, a Hamilton Beach Blender and Food Processor; a B&D Mini Chopper; and hand mixer. The Oster KC is my appliance of choice, but its heavy and bulky so I only pull it out of the cabinet when I want to do some serious stuff. I especially love the salad shooter attachment for shredding cabbage and head lettuce.

I have the huge KitchenAid Pearl Metalic Proline KFPF850PM Food Processor and a Betty Crocker blender.

The food processor is a 16-cups unit with two smaller work bowls that fit inside the regular work bowl. The smallest work bowl has its own little chopping blade which can be used for those pesky little chopping jobs like mincing garlic, chopping herbs and for making small amounts of mayonaise.

I like its powerful motor and its many other features! Probably the last one that I'll ever have to buy. It can also be used for a small catering business as well.

I've only been cooking and baking for the past two and a half years. I love cooking but have never purchased either kitchen appliance. I don't see the need for either machine in my small apartment kitchen.

I chop foods with my chef's knife and enjoy it. I don't have to cook for others so I can take my time.

I don't cook like I used to, but it's nice to know that I got a powerful machine that can handle the task at hand.

You know max you could get away with a Salad shooter, and mini chopper
the salad shooters are Great for slicing and shredding carrots, cabbage, celery and cucumbers, and Shredding cheeses.
the mini choppeers are great for small batches of salsas, pureeing onions etc. I like to puree my onion and garlic in the food processor for my barbecue sauce.

Anyway Just thougth I would throw that out there.

I have both but I use my food processor a lot more than the blender. I have a Cuisinart Power Prep Plus 14 cup food processor. I use it for slicing, dicing and chopping vegetables, making dough, making breadcrumbs, it works great for grinding meat also. Many times I make my own ground beef or ground chicken. It's done in no time and I know exactly what I'm getting.

We have a blender! Yes I do love the blender. I have never even used a food processor before. Maybe one day I'll give it a try.

Yes I could'nt be without my food processor. Cooking is so hussle free and easy when you chop, blend and mix in food procesor before you start to cook.

I end up using the food processor more than the blender for mincing, chopping, dicing & slicing!

But when something needs to be pureed, I just use the stick blender. It does a fantastic job in making chunky or pureed soups, sauces & gravies!! :)

I mainly use the food processor and one of the Stand Mixers, since I like to cook and bake!

I have both a Cuisinart Food Processor and a Cuisinart Blender. I love both of the appliances and couldn't be without them. I make a lot of different types of pesto and the food processor does a perfect job of giving me just the right consistancy and texture.
I use my blender primarily for smoothies, shakes, pureeing cream soups and making salad dressings. I make all my own soups and salad dressings so my blender gets a good workout.

My blender went into the trash this morning when I was making a smoothie and everything went all over my counter. Seems the disk that holds the blade cracked in half. Soooo I ordered a new one along with an immersion blender. Both Cuisinart. I lke their products. But I LOVE my KitchenAid stand mixer.

I use a Braun 600w Turbo hand held blender for soups and liquidising etc, and a Braun Multi Practic 240 which mixes, slices, shreds, chops & whisks. The hand held model is used nearly everyday & well worth the purchase.

I used my K'Aid stick blender last night to puree the soft veggies in the liquid that the pot roast was cooked in to make a flourless gravy.

I also did that last week. Blender is very helpful and useful to us, infact we're using it everyday in making our shake for snack.

It's very versatile!

I just got a chopper attachment for mine and have used it already. Now it's kind of like a mini food processor for small chopping jobs.

Keeps me from having to drag out and dirty up the big heavy heavy duty processor all the time!

I've just bought the Magimix 4200 processor and WOW ! i don't know why i didn't get one a long time ago.The amount of time it saves me is incredible and i've only used it for slicing and grating so far.

I have both. And the blender comes very handy in making rush icy treats and shakes for the kids, especially now in this hot weather. The downside to this is that it consumes more electricity, but it's worth it given that it saves me precious time in preparing the treats quickly. :)

Once you do, you'll want to use it a lot.

But for those times when I don't want to dirty up the big food processor, I use the chopper attachment that I got for the K'Aid stick blender.

It's nice and it also Gets the Job Done!! :)

I have both. I have a Cuisinart food processor and a Kitchenaid blender. I use the Cuisinart food processor to slice and chop vegetables. Also, for grinding items such as nuts, seeds, meat, or dried fruit. I use the Kitchenaid blender to mix and crush ice in cocktails and to crush ice and other ingredients in non-alcoholic drinks such as Frappucinos and smoothies.

I have both.

My favorite, however, is neither but my stick blender. Most of the time it is much easier for me to get out than the blender or FP.

I don't mind using my knife to chop veggies and other items. I have some awesome knifes :D

Have both, but don't like either one. Hoping to replace them soon.
