Well yesterday something happened to me that made me think of this site and especially of the coolchic who hands out notes to lone children...
I was taking my daughter home from school on the bike and as is our habit we stopped off at the park for her to play. I was hanging out watchign her from a distance and reading a book or whatever I do... then these two police (actualy community wardens, same thing really, just paid less here in the UK) approach me and ask me wat I am doing there. Someone must have actually called the cops to question my being present in the playground.
I think it speaks very poorly to the world we live in now.
I am prepared to bet everyone here will think it was just fine and dandy though, and that they were doing a good job.
