Hi,

I have recently created a recipe based on on i saw on a website http://www.greennectar.co.uk/honey-chicken-pasta.html
where you can use the broccolli stems for other cooking purposes. I also find you can add them (really thinly sliced in sandwiches like you would cucumber!)
see for yourselves:)

maw1081 you can also use your broccoli stems in soups, you can make creamy broccoli soup, where you cook them down and puree the soup. And you can mince them up and add them to rice for a broccoli rice.

also you can freeze them until you are ready to use them so that you don't lose them

I didn't think before but you can also peel and mince up some of the broccoli stems and add them to rice dishes.

i might give that a go - i suppose you could add a mixture of diced veg with the rice too
