Are you a pro at barbecuing? This is something I have never done, but it is one of my dreams to become a master at barbecuing. Almost every day in the summer here if you go out side you smell the goodness of a barbecue and it makes you so hungry. Barbecued food is also so delicious. My parents never mastered the art of this way of cooking, so I am going to have to learn by some other means.
If you have any tips for barbecuing please post them.
Thanks from an eternally grateful liketobake

Hello Everyone!
I, too, was never introduced to cooking on a grill. I'd like to learn other than slapping a hamburger patty over the coals and calling it what it isn't.

Master at the Grill?? No, far from it, but I love it. Buy a good recipe book and stand beside a friend all summer long. That will help. Best thing is to learn about coal management and buy a thermometer. Too many Americans throw in a bunch of coals, light them, throw on the meat and the outside is black before the center is done. Not "Good eats" as my friend Alton Brown would say.

Maybe we should start another thread, but I am good at TRUE BBQ'ing. Low and slow ,but that can wait until the cold winter when we start to dream of warmer times to come.
