The Highlight of my Summer has been my Country House Weekend and the Hideous Hot Weather! I hate Hot Weather! ITS HOT! GAHHHH! I haf also been working at the BBC this summer, examining Spitalsfield silk for camera sheen.
Ps. Are you related to Tyler or Lisa?

Other things I did this summer.

1. I read 15 books.
2. I didnt watch SUPERMAN.
3. I went to an antiwar rally and got into a screaming match wid a peevish Zionist. That wuz kinda good, if I say so meself.
4. I read some interesting Americun interior decorating magazines, which I like better than boring English ones. Like did you know that in rich Americun homes, their chandeliers cost more a cottage in Sussex? :D

The highlight of my summer was teaching myself to "bake" in a microwave. Even though our kitchen is air conditioned, it just wasn't enough this summer! I thought...what the heck...and gave it a shot. We have an "all you can eat dessert bar" that goes with all our meals...so it has been a lifesaver to learn to prepare some of the cakes in the microwave with no heat added to the kitchen. I've been taking each of my recipes at a time..and trying them...and writing down the time it takes to bake each one. Yes! There have been some flops! But the time it saves in baking has been worth it! This is one art that I think has to be learned individually...as each microwave seems to be a little different...but I have learned that most cakes will bake all right in it with a small amount of "texture" change once you get the amount of minutes down....and allow that "setting" time to let it finish cooking.

Learning that my brother is finally engaged to his now fiance. They dated for close to 7 years before now getting engaged. It is about time.

Another highlight of my Summer wuz I got chased down the street by a peevish Frenchman who took exception to my pulling his mustache! Cant that guy take a joke? Heh. :)

I wanted to see if it wuz real becuz it wuz the large handlebar variety of mustachio. Pigsnie said I wuz very rude. Boooyahhhh! :D

A year has passed since this thread was made. What are your plans for this summer?

I will start with mine.

This summer I should hopefully finish nursing school and graduate. Then in september write my exam to be a nurse!

I will also be attending my brother's long awaited wedding this July, and seeing family I have not seen in years at the wedding.

I hope to take a vacation with my boyfriend either during summer or in early fall right after I graduate.

Enjoying the sun when I am not at the hospital is my plan for the summer and spending time with my boyfriend.

Also eating lots of watermelon:P one of my favourite fruits!

This summer of 2007 I haf to look for a job becuz I am graduated from university. Or maybe I should wait till next year. Dont I haf to *FIND MYSELF* first? When I told Pigsnie this, he swatted me wid his newspaper and said he didnt know I wuz Lost. Grrrrrrrrrrr. :mad:

Hehehe. Tyler and I are still figuring that out. We take a long time to make decisions and plan things.

Pigsnie said I had to find a serious job first before he lets me leave the country. Har. :D

Well, it isn't over yet. But so far we were in GA, in May. For the Georgia Renaissance Festival www.garenfest.com And then I went to Portland Oregon for a month to help sister out. Then when I returned home we drove up to Wisconson to go to the Bristol Renaissance Festival. www.renfair.com/bristol Then in October we are going to Houston to the Texas Renaissance Festival www.txrenfest.com and then we will be moving to GA. So we have had a fairly busy summer this year.

I finished nursing school and became a nurse this summer. I graduate later in September, but I am a NURSE already! :D

Now I have more time to bake things and cook:p and post on cookingoforums
