OK OK, here's a thread: what would you do if you won a restaurant, you know, Jamie's competition like.
Personally, I would do a vegan spot, with salads and sauces and sugar free sweets. It would be an environment-friendly restaurant: only recycled materials when it comes to non-edible consumables and healthy, bio food. On the walls there would be posters with eco-friendly and vegan advice, and new customers would get brochures on veganism and ecology.
You?

The most expensive restaurant is located in Tokyo Japan. Dinner for one costs US$368.
Name of the restuarant: Aragawa.
This is my fantasy restaurant :)

If I won a restaurant I would sell it straight away. I wouldn't want to run a restaurant, I would hate it. They work very hard, they have late nights, ungrateful customers and they have loads of rules and regulations to worry about. I guess I could just put a manager in instead of selling it. So if I won a restaurant I would choose my favourite family restaurant, it is called Windy Ridge and it is in Trerulefoot, Cornwall, UK. I like it because they serve well cooked basic English food, you get good service and all the customers seem to enjoy being there.

Well said, denton; the F& B industry is one of the toughest career you can get into. It is a lot of backbreaking work without guarantee of success!

i think this rule also goes for acting, singing, teaching and so forth. success is something you just can't guarantee. so nevermind if you *won* the restaurant or just went to dinner there, how would it be like is what i am asking here.

When I think of a fantasy restaurant, I have at least ten ideas. I like food, and I love to go out to eat in different types of places. One of my favorite fantasies is eating in a semi-elegant Japanese place -- one where people are dressed well, but not in formal attire.
The place in my dream has tables surrounding the grill where the chefs cook. There would be eight, ten, or twelve people around each table. Perhaps some of them would know each other and the others would be eager to become acquainted. There would be a chef at each table. The chef would wear a traditional chef's hat, and he would perform with the food. He would throw eggs up into the air and catch them, do showy stunts with his knives, chop food artistically, and generally keep everybody smiling.
There would be a wide selection of unforgettable sushi, seafood, steak, and great rice.
I know a place like that in West Monroe, Louisiana. It is called Tokyo Steakhouse. When I went there, it was bizarre to find a place that fulfilled my fantasy.

It would be very relaxed and friendly, people could wear whatever they felt comfortable in and children would be welcome. You wouldn't have to book a table in advance. It would serve simple well cooked meals that people enjoyed and all kinds of people would want to eat there.
