What do you cook with alcohol? Do you have any special recipes?

I always find myself spiking things I cook, usually with vodka. It seems to really enhance flavours. I also spike things I bake with rum, vodka or irish cream liquer..:D

Mmm... I have a recipe for a Chocolate, Bailey's Irish Cream, and Macadamia nut pie that's TO DIE FOR. :) MMmmm. I like to spike everything, too.

But my favorite thing to cook with is white wine and sherry. Soups, casseroles, veggies, sauces... you name it, it's improved with a splash of white wine. Vermouth is nice with savory foods, too.

I found that drinking alcohol while cooking enhances the cook, especially a good sherry or wine.

I like to use wine and dry sherry too. Especially using herbs along side, makes the dish extra special.

I like wines, beer and bourbon.

I like to make Marsala Chicken, and marsala mushrooms.

White wine sauteed mushrooms with wine, butter, garlic, salt and pepper

Beer: turkey chili, a sauce for asparagus, braised ribs, roasted chicken (or should I call it beer can chicken)

Boubon: Barbecue sauce.
