You will need
1/2 kl fresh anchovies (dilis), deboned
1/2 cup flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 small onion, chopped
12 button mushrooms (canned), halved
1 can (227 g) DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce
Here'sHow
1. Marinate anchovies in 3 tbsp, calamansi juice. 1 1/2 tsp rock salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper for 1 hour. Add flour and egg, then blended.
2. Fry every 2 tbsp of anchovies mixture until golden brown, set aside.
3. Saute garlic onions, mushrooms in a little oil. Add DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce and 2 cups water. Season with 2 1/4 tsp rock salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper and 1 tbsp sugar. Simmer for 3 minutes. Stir in fried anchovies before serving.
