Can anyone identify this vegtable (attached image)?

I bought a whole bunch today at the food store. I found them on the reduced shelf for 99 cents. I don't know what they are though....

Looks like a Bitter Melon.

A little more details would be helpful... What size are they? How do they feel? Do they seem like anything you've seen before? Didn't it say at the store you bought them from what they were? I would never buy things I know nothing about... :eek: It could be asparagus or cucumber ... :confused:

They look like cucumbers but have a much stranger texture....they just might be the bitter melon Clarissa_one mentioned.....

They look "Old" are they slimey or just "wrinkled"
