Do you think sweets are a healthy treat?
How do you see them?
I personally like them a lot, but i try and feed my children something else, like fruit or home made cookies instead of chocolate all the time.
What is you opinion on this?

Sweets are a healthy treat only if you don't eat too many. Something sweet should be very reccomended once a day in order for the body to get its share of sugars and aminoacids. When the sweets become an every meal habit, the problems begin to appear: cavities, high blood pressure, diabetes etc. . Try to be moderate in whatever you eat.

Sweets are always present in my house :)
I always like to have a piece of chocolate after lunch or dinner and i never refused cakes.
I know they can be an enemy to our teeth and sometimes our health if we exaggerate but i will take my chances :)

What do you mean by healthy treats?

I know that sweets is bad for your body because your teeth will weaken. You could also get a diabetes. You are the only person that I know that consider sweets as a healthy treat.

I think you can have healthy sweets. Fruits are naturally sweet, so i prefer to eat sweets that include fruit, like strawberries with lowfat angelfood cake and fat free cool whip. Not entirely healthy, but it is better than nothing and then overindulging....

I think they're fine when consumed at moderate levels. Except for candy. I really detest candy because it's just a ball of sugar and it makes my teeth feel rotten!

Sweets are not a healthy treat. They're a treat. Of course there are exceptions-- such as low-fat baked goods made with whole wheats and fruits. But sweets, in the generally accepted meaning of the word, aren't healthy. They won't hurt you when eaten in moderation, but they're not healthy in and of themselves.

I satisfy my sugar cravings with fresh and dried fruits, honey and grape molasses. To be honest with you I am not bothered about sweets treats very much because they were not available widely when I was growing up. I grew up in a lovely small village and we only ate natural stuff then.
