I'm always looking for ways to save money at the grocery store and usually use coupons that I find in the newspaper. But I was just this video that describes a new system that I think looks great. It would make it all online and attached to your club card. Look out for this in the future because I think its gonna take off.

I use the coupons of course, plus I belong to a coupon mailing list that swaps coupons to each other regularly.
At the store(s) I always seek out the damaged specials, most of which are cosmetic. Savings are often quite good. You don't eat the box or can, only the contents. Damaged cans are okay as long as they are intact, though I put these in the front line to be used. Really bad dented I transfer to sterilized mason jars, vacuum seal and refrigerate until eaten.
Stale bread I can make into croutons or bread crumbs if the price is low enough.
Then I check out the meat section for discounted stuff due to expiring sell by date, resulting in a savings of 50% or much more. The food is perfectly good but the store needs to offload it. All the meat goes home, repacked into vacuum seal bags and frozen. The ground beef usually gets cooked right away, rinsed, and frozen in vacuum seal bags in 1-lb sizes for that next meal that calls for cooked ground beef. Chicken pieces are likewise cooked and vacuum sealed away in single serving packages or flash frozen and group packed. Pre-cooked chicken is so much easier to deal with for many meals.

I love to save money at the grocery store.. When I shop especially in the produce section I always head straight for the discount shelf..There I get the best deals. 50-70% off the regular price for many items that I would be buying anyways and paying full price for... Just a couple days ago I went shopping, spent a total of $18 Canadian and this is what I got: (mainly from the discount shelf)
From the discount shelf
10 lbs of bean sprouts (for about $2.50)
4 red pepers
one head of lettice 64 cents
one bag of lettice leaves 99 cents
The rest of the stuff I bought was not discounted just a good price but it was amazing how much stuff I got for $18.
I also like to visit the bakery discount shelf...The prices are out of this world cheap often...:D :D :D

I never did have any coupons to be used on a grocery store because I’m buying the ingredients on a wet market. They are much cheaper than a grocery store. Sure that it doesn’t have the convenience of grocery store but it will save you lots of money.

A wet market is just like a super market but the floor is wet before. This is the reason why it is called a Wet market. Now, Wet Markets has eventually develop to group of merchants that are selling a lot of grocery like fish, meat, vegetables, cans, and anything that you can see on a Supermarket.

Are wet markets outdoors, or in buildings? I am guessing outdoors....
