In your opinion, what is the perfect meal for a breakfast?
Toast and honey? Milk and cereals? Bacon or eggs?
I think breakfast is the most important meal of the day so we have to be careful what we eat the first time in a day..

Yes, you’re right: the breakfast is the most important meal of a day. If you eat a nourishing breakfast you will be eating nothing above 14 o’clock.
I think we need to eat for breakfast a slice of bread and honey and to drink a cup of tea. That is my breakfast menu.

We all have this perfect breakfast in our minds. I think that the perfect breakfast for me is some egg and hotdogs combined with some rice to go with. I never eat breakfast without rice because we are already used to eating it.

A healthy breakfast.. hmm. I think milk is very important. It contains a lot of calcium and i always drank a cup in the morning since i was little.
Cereals also are a good way to start the day. They are nutritious and healthy and keep the hunger way for some good hours.

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day. Sometimes we have to skip it because our schedule simply doesn't allow it. Diversity is always welcomed, in my opinion, so my breakfast might consist of milk and cereals or Bacon, eggs and toast, or tea and jelly or puddind. To be honest, I preffer lunch. It's somehow more fulfilling.:o

I think that a healthy breakfast would consist anything that has nutrients power our daily routine. I can’t think of an actual food when you say healthy breakfast because in our country we tend to eat anything that is serving on our plate. We don’t really care what should we in the morning or the afternoon is just the same.

I can't think of any because I'm used to the fact that breakfast is anything that is served on my dining table in the morning. I never consider this question before maybe I will consider what to eat next time.

I like porridge for breakfast, it tastes nice, it is good for my digestion and it helps keep my cholesterol levels down. It is important to eat breakfast to get your metabolism working and if you eat breakfast you are less likely to be tempted to eat unhealthy stuff during the morning,

I rarely have breakfast because I work in the morning and I'm not used to eating immediately after waking up, but on weekends I try to have a healthy breakfast with bacon, eggs (sometimes omelette), vegetables, fruit juice or milk.

The classic menu: toast with jelly/pancakes, thick sliced bacon (crispy not crunchy), eggs, cereal, fruits. Oh, and a hot chocolate. Eating first thing in the morning helps you to stabilize blood sugar levels. I perform better at work when I eat a big breakfast.

In the summer I have low sugar cereal with low fat milk. In the winter I have porridge (oatmeal) with low cal sweetener.
For a treat I have bacon, eggs, beans and toast or when I go on holiday in UK I have macdonalds mcmuffin meal (soooooooo naughty - just dripping with fat!)
Usually have mid morning (cos I eat bfast as soon as I wake and cant go til lunch) I have a yoghurt - either activia yoghurt (for good stomach function) or plain with honey and chopped nuts.
Also have been known to have a crepe with plain yoghurt, honey and nuts.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE McD's breakfast burritos. It seems like they could be made a little more healthy by possibly using turkey sausage or bacon and egg-substitutes and a low fat cheese or even a nacho cheese spread.
Another great help would be if I could make up one "batch" and freeze them for the entire week?
Any thoughts on how to healthily them and/or freeze them?
I think breakfast should contain lots of fresh juices, plenty of water, diluted butter milk or milk, coffee or tea along with the breakfast. Also we can add fruit salad, fried nuts, sweet yoghurt, fresh oranges to make the breakfast interesting and enjoyable.

My favorite breakfast is cereal, either hot or cold, usually maple and brown sugar. I think eggs are the best to eat though, because they're high in protein and that curbs your appitite longer.

I personally dont like to eat anything but i always enjoy a healthy smoothie. It gives me the energy i need to get through the day. Try replacing your meals for smoothies or simply add a smoothie to your morning meal.

I believe a healthy breakfast is important along with a healthy lunch and a healthy dinner. I have been delivered from "food addiction" by eating healthy following a food plan. I belong to a support group on www.kaysheppard.com called "The Body Knows". I love this life style since 1989. My breakfast is usually 1 egg, 1/2 cup soy beans. 1 cup grain (oatmeal, steel cut oats, amaranth or other grain) 1 cup mild and 6 oz fruit. I had a hard time eating this much at first but since I was interested in loosing weight and eating healthy I decided I would do it. The sucess I had was worth it.

I vary my breakfasts. Sometimes it is bacon or sausage and eggs, with hash browns and other times it is cold ceral with fruit - no milk. I hate milk. I also like biscuits and gravy on occasion. When I don't want the hash browns I do the English broiled tomato with my bacon and eggs.
Ii think the best breakfast is whatever you like.

I try to eat breakfast everyday. I need that extra energy to get my work done for the day. Then I come home and talk to everyone who loves cooking just like I do.

I agree oats is definitely my favorite. It is a clean yet wholesome start to the day. It doesn’t have as many preservatives and other additives especially tons of sugar as contained in most breakfast cereals. You can add youfgurt and favorites like blueberries or bananas and honey. Pity blueberries cost a small fortune out of season. Well at least I can sell my old gold jewelry to afford a healthy breakfast (http://www.postalgold.com/sell-gold).It is also not as greasy as the traditional bacon and egg breakfast.
I also occasionally enjoy a poached egg on whole-wheat toast.

A starbucks coffee and a chocolate-chip scone...no, not really ;). Muesli works great for me. It's very healthy, and it keeps me full for a long time until lunch rolls around. I really don't like breakfasts that leave me feeling hungry hours before lunch. I lose my concentration and can't seem to do anything productive when I'm hungry...the pain.

Hey there,
Breakfast is important because it is the first main meal after a prolong period of "relative starvation" (sleep). You don't need a huge meal, but make sure you cover most of the essential nutrients, carbohydrates in particular since your brain needs a lot of glucose for a fresh start for a new day!

How many personal injury attorneys does it take to change a light bulb?
* How many can you afford?
* Three - one to turn the bulb, one to shake him off the ladder, and the third to sue the ladder company. :D

Our body remains in rest through the night so when it becomes active it needs energy to work. Body gets instant energy from glucose and carbohydrate. So we must have heavy breakfast with these type of content.

Oatmeal, flaxseed, blueberries & almonds. To me, this is the perfect breakfast. Steel-cut oatmeal is probably the healthier choice, but if you are in a hurry, the instant kind will do fine (it doesn’t have as much fiber, but the other ingredients make up for that). After microwaving the oatmeal, add ground flaxseed, frozen blueberries, sliced almonds. You can add a little cinnamon and honey (not a lot) if you’re using the non-instant oatmeal. That’s four power foods, full of fiber and nutrients and protein and good fats, with only a couple of minutes of prep time. And very tasty!

how come breakfast is so different from country to country. In Italy it is basically a cappuccino and a pastry. It's probably wrong but everyone here is in good shape. It also depends on what you have for lunch, if lunch is light, then breakfast is more like a complete meal (UK and USA) but in Italy you can't have a heavy breakfast and then have lunch as we have. Same for Spain I believe.

Fresh berries, yogurt, granola. Get low-fat yogurt (not non-fat, as it often has too much sugar) or soy yogurt, cut up some berries or other fruits, add some healthy cereal. I actually use the Kashi Golean Crunch instead of granola, as many brands of granola have way too much fat and/or sugar.
Grapefruit with whole-wheat toast & almond butter. Add a little sugar on top of the grapefruit, and it’s actually pretty good. The almond butter is healthier than peanut-butter, with lots of good protein to fill you up.
Fresh fruit salad. Cut up some apples, melons, berries, oranges, pears, bananas, grapes … any or all or whatever your favorite fruits are. Add a little bit of lime or lemon juice. Perfect.
Protein shake with extras. I use soy protein powder, but whey works well too. Blend up with low-fat milk or soy milk, some frozen blueberries, and perhaps some almond butter or oatmeal. That may sound weird, but it’s actually pretty good, and pretty filling. A little ground flax seed works well too.
Eggs with peppers. I’m not a fan of eggs, but many people love them. Egg whites are healthier than whole eggs. Scramble with a little olive oil, red and green bell peppers, maybe broccoli, onions, black pepper. Goes well with whole-wheat toast.
Cottage cheese and fruit. Get low-fat cottage cheese. Add any kind of fruit. Apples, citrus, berries.
Gibb’s muffins & jam. While most muffins you buy at a coffee shop or grocery store are just empty carbs with lots of fat (basically, cake), this is a delicious recipe with lots of fiber and nutrition. (Note: the recipe in the link doesn’t mention it, but it’s actually a recipe from Simplify Your Life by Elaine St. James — it’s her husband Gibbs’ recipe). Bake them the night before, and they’re perfect in the morning (and for days to come). A little honey or jam makes them perfect.

Nutritionists actually disagree on this one; some say that you should have the most carbohydrates of the day early on so you burn them off. Either way, you can’t go wrong with some lean protein, calcium, whole wheat or whole grain carbs, and fruit. Three of my favorite breakfasts are:
-A poached egg on whole-wheat toast sandwich with calcium-fortified orange juice
-Fiber One cereal with skim milk and frozen or fresh blueberries and a hard-boiled egg
-Fruit smoothie with nonfat yogurt, skim milk, berries, a banana, and peanut or almond butter

I know breakfast is a very important meal of the day, but most of the time I skip it. But I think, a healthy breakfast meal is oatmeal, fruits, fruit juice or milk/coffee.

Healthy eating is essential in all three meals and a well balanced diet should be followed in the case of breakfast as well. In my opinion a typically healthy breakfast should include all the types of nutrients but it is better to cut down a little bit on fats. You can try one or two of the following to compliment a healthy breakfast; cereal, eggs, oats, whole grain toast, smoked fish, yogurt, fruit smoothie, protein shake, muffins, baked beans
