I think not everyone can be a good baker.. but with some practice it can become quite a treat.
How much practice did you had before you managed to bake properly? Months? years.. ? O maybe you have a real talent at this..?

I've been in the kitchen with my mom and my grandmas since I was kneehigh to a grasshopper, watching and learning. At age 12 I was able to turn out a pretty good cheese cake. Now, I think I am pretty good with baked goods. I am not sure if I have " talent" but I had darn good teachers and a lot of practice.

I don't think I have too much talent, but I catch up pretty quick. :D I'm not the best baker, but I know a few things in the area and what I've learned took one to two years of practice. Well, I guess the old saying, "practice makes perfect", is somewhat true even in what cooking is concerned.

I don’t even know if I can bake a simple cheese cake because we don’t have any oven on our kitchen. I think that it would take a lot of practice and a lot of time for me to be an expert on baking. But, when it comes to cooking, I could say that I’m good enough on the recipes that I know.

I've been practicing for months now and I am slowly getting better. I lack any talent in this, so I need a lot of discipline to manage the situation. Still my progress is visible and the results are getting tastier. Or at least edible :D

If I put my head into it then I can say that I can be good I just a matter of week. I’m one of those that can be called as a fast learner. I have learned that I can do whatever thing that I’m focusing at. Basically, this is always applicable to anybody, if you will just believe in yourself.

I overcooked some cakes (most of them). I undercooked some cakes. I forgot some ingredients one time (ok, a couple of times). Oh, I guess it took some 10 cakes to finally understand the process. Ten disasters. But this was a long time ago, now I'm the master of cakes and overall baking.

Like mancook here, I believe that I could be good at something if only I put my mind into it. I’m confident enough to say that I could be good at baking if I will lend some time with it. I think that it will take me a month to do so.

It depends on your desire. I've always had a passion for baking and i tried things over and over till i got it right.
Years of practice and education will help but not everything turns out right the first time.
