Maybe when cooking for yourself you eat only healthy food, maybe not. Either way, what do you prefer to cook for guests? A healthy meal, even if it takes more time or more effort or something that looks great and is very tasty but not so perfectly-healthy?

Let's see.....I'm a guest and in front of me is:

Nice thick healthy Oatmeal
or
Scrambled Eggs, Sausage and Toast

Which one do you think I would grab?
[Hint: I suffer with oatmeal while at home and I'm sick of it]

I think that tasty is the best for guest because they aren’t concern on their food intake. At least this is true to a lot of people that I know. I don’t know if this is true to other people around the world. I’m just being prank!

It depends on who the guests are. If I have saome relatives or friends for dinner and I know them to be vegetarians or have a health problem, I would try to cook a healthy meal, vegetarian dishes or something appropriate. If the guests are persons whose life style I know little about, of course I would care less because it would be unfit to ask them in advance what kind of meal they would preffer.

I usually take requests if I'm hosting. However, it is possible to have something that is delicious that is also healthy!

Maybe you’re right. This would definitely save your money and make an impression that you are one with the group. By serving what they like, they will become your friend and who knows if they can help in the near future.

When I have guests I mostly go with "just tasty" unless one of them mentions him / her being a vegetarian in which case I'll try to prepare something suitable. It only happened two times in the last two decades to take requests from guests while hosting a dinner party. Of course, delicious and healthy can go hand in hand, so I don't see any reason not to prepare a healthy dish with common ingredients.

I go for "just tasty" too. :) Partly because I want to impress my guests with awesome food, and partly because making super tasty, fattening dishes is a fun treat for me. I never cook that way just for my husband and myself. We always eat healthy. So tasty cooking is a lot of fun for me.

All selfish reasons, actually! :P

Another tasty here too. We don't have people eating at our home too much, but when this happens I like to also ask them. Some of my friends are on a diet and this might mean they cannot enjoy the meal too much. We have something prepared for them too, the rest of us can eat the good stuff :D

It depends on the guests. If it was people I know I would probably have a good idea of what sort of things they like. If I didn't know them I would certainly check to see if they were vegetarians or if they had any dietary preferences. If I couldn't find out I would cook something very safe that most people would like.

I can’t say that I can decide right now what I should serve on my guest because it really doesn’t depend on me. It depends more on the guess that is going to eat it. I think that it would be nice if I were to ask first before I go cooking some foods.

I prefer both qualities :D
I try and cook healthy food, i cannot mock my guests when it comes to food. I care about these things :)
I usually cook souffl?s, vegetable ones and sometimes i make some chicken roast. I also cook desert, i like to make cakes :)

If I’m the guest than I would choose the tasty one because this never happen everyday. I’m just being prank, not everyone is rich here. Only rich people can buy what they want all the time.
