How much does it take for you to cook? Half an hour? 2-3 hours? All day maybe?
Some enjoy cooking so much the spend hours in the kitchen cooking and they love it, but others have other things they need to do and don't have that much time.
What's your case?

I think that is too much for cooking a food. If that include the preparing part then it might take me half an hour just to cook our meal. Most of the time, I’m only cooking the food that are fried so it just takes me a little to time to prepare and cook them.

I don't love cooking but i have to. I don't spend more than one hour in the kitchen every day, except special events when i have to cook something special or when i just have enough time to spend doing some "extra cook".

I spend quite some time since I try to learn as much as I can. And the fact I really lack any talent makes the time even longer. I do like this though, so it's not such a bad thing.

I eat to live and not live to eat :) So I just go into the kitchen and whip up a quick and dirty meal. For special occasions, we eat out.

i spend around 2-3 hours that includes deciding what to cook, preparing, cooking, setting the table then cleaning up. hmm, cleaning up needs extra time so make it 4hours the most.

Mostly I spent 2 - 3 hours in the kitchen, that also includes preparation and cleaning. :)

Lately I have been spending far less time in the kitchen because it has been too hot out and there is no A/C is my kitchen and we live on the 2nd floor. So if I had to be in there for a while, a cold shower has followed. Can't wait for the temps to come back down so I can have fun again.

Depends on what I am cooking. Some meals take less time than others. Some longer. Just depends.

And like ASherm, as little time as possible during the Great Heat Wave. I did make a few no cook meals though. Lots of sandwiches with Hungarian Cucumber Salad. Lots of fruit too.

Brace yourself, Roberta.

Sherm ~ I know. I just checked the forecast. 88 today and 93 tomorrow. And I was planning roasted Fresh Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon this weekend. I may still do it 'cause I love it so much. And, it is only 15-20 in the oven. Serve it with a cold salad of some sort.

Stay cool everyone.

Thanks.

It might be a good idea to cook outside, if you can. That way, the kitchen is not hotter than it already is.

i like to spend around 30 mins to cook on average. if i had the resources, i would spend 2-3 hours per meal cooking..

for breakfast more like 10 mins
lunch 30 mins
dinner 30-45 mins

As much as I love cooking and everything it is difficult for me to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I cannot spend more than 2 hours while cooking.
