I really like garlic and i use it in a lot of my recipes. I successfully grow my own garlic plant. But, i am confused about the way it's better to prepare it. Some of them say crush and some say chop. A few even say slice. What is the best way?

I don't know the answer to your question. I think it is personal preference.....
I prefer to crush garlic when I cook with it...:D

I would have to say it depends on what you are using it in....at least in my opnion. If you are adding it to a sauce or something like that, I like to cut it as small as possible and then mash that down so that the garlic pretty much dissolves in the liquid. Or, you could just give it a quick crush and throw it in if you are planning on removing it later....for stir fry's and things of that nature, I always finely chop it.
