how do you bake a fish in the oven till light brown and yet not cause it to lose its moisture?

have tried pan frying it first till slightly brown and then baking it however its still dry after finish.

Salmon browns beautifully if dry-fried on a very hot non-stick pan. This helps the flavout too.

you could always try higher heat for a shorter amount of time....this is what I do with salmon....I put it in a 450 deg oven for about 5 minutes. This keep it very moist and gives it a nice crust as well.
