This is what I'm talking about BDH. 8 post's and not a clue that there are actually recipes that can be shared on this forum.

I just checked his posts.

No real reason to delete or moderate anything from him. He really doesn't have to share any recipes unless he wants to.

I think that the point is, evilgrey123 is just here to promote the links in their signature, they are links to online gambling sites for goodness sake!!!!. Some of their posts make no sense, and contribute nothing to the thread.

I bet if you turned off their signature or made them delete it, they would stop posting.

That seems to be the only thing that is wrong.

I looked at that and wondered myself if it is spam or not, but I'd say that it IS spam.

Evilgrey123, I must ask you to please remove those links to online gambling from your sig, as members are objecting to it and are looking at it as spam.

Thank you Whoopie Pie. I thought the links were self evident.

Whoopi Pie & Pappa;

I went into the Admin Panel, looked his name up and removed the spamming links from his sig.

I'll send him a pm, asking him not to do that.

And BTW, this thread belongs in the Introduction forum anyway.

He's got a blog there now on what might appear to be a deli sammie, but the pic itself in the blog is X'd out.

I think that is what I'll do from now on. Go into the Admin Panel and remove spamming links from their sigs if they are inappropriate and then, send them a pm explainiong why I did it.

I know on other sites, signatures are disabled until the poster reaches a certain number of posts, often 50, but since this is a less active board maybe 25 would be reasonable. I don't know if that is something that Tyler would implement, but I think that it would a good idea.

Kinda funny how they added a food related sig link when we called them on it.

Probably to see just what they might be able to get away with.

I used to ask them to remove it, but they seem awfully slow or reluctant to do it, so I'm taking the initiative and removing them myself instead.

Tyler is letting this stand, so if you guys can continue to report spam that you think might be inappropriate, then please don't stop.
We'll do our best to get it under control and wean out the perpetrators.
