Hi...just joined this forum and wanted to know if anyone had an answer for me. I am cooking meatloaf at 350 and also cheesy potatoes at 350...can I put them in the oven together? and if so....do I need to add more time for cooking? I once tried two pans of cheesy potatoes together and they were not done cooking in the estimated time......should I try to leave them in for an additional half hour???

There should be no problem as long as you pay attention to placement in the oven.

You don't want to stack one pan directly over the other. Stagger them - either side by side, or on 2 different racks, one toward the left and one toward the right. you need to leave room for the air to circulate freely.

It's also a good idea to switch the pans halfway through the baking, so they brown evenly.

If there is a kitchen gadget that earns its keep it is an outside reading probe thermometer. Insert in the meatloaf, and when it is done, they are both done.

I would guess that if ample air circulation is available, there would be a slight increase in time required, but not much.

There is no problem in cooking both simultaneously. You should check appropriate temperature and time required to cook.
