Do you buy organic foods? My mom is big on getting anything she can find that is organic. For the most part taste-wise I have experienced little difference between inorganic and organic foods. The only slightly signifigant difference I have come across is in organic peanut butter. I have to say it does taste better then the inorganic kind. It is definitely better healthwise then the inorganic kind, because it is so pure.

I would love to buy only organic but it is either so much more expensive than regular foods or it is so hard to find. Fortunately as time goes on more and more organic foods are becoming available and I guess that means they will eventually become cheaper too.

I think there's a small difference between them, but the prices put me off.
As long as they're washed they should be fine.
I also notice organic foods tend to damage easier.

In my opinion, organic food is much better if your health-wise, but just what the others said, it is more expensive than ordinary food. Another is, it's not easy storing organic foods at home for a long time because they spoil easily.

I love organic, simply because there are not as many (or at all) preservatives, hormones or ingredients you can't pronounce, so to me that equals "healthier." But who can afford it? Only rarely will I buy organic vegetables or other items because the normal supermarket stuff is half the price so we can get much more for our money.

Thanks~~

The best way to get less expensive organic foods is to grow your own. Of course depending on your climate you may only get one or two seasons worth of oraganic fruits and vegtables.

Having been a Hippie years ago when organic was the rage, I agree that growing your own is a good bet. However, I find that because of the new interest in organic foods ( people have figured out that the other stuff is literally killing us) that there are more selections in organic produce in our regular food stores especially in the area of frozen organic vegetables that are not badly priced. I also buy from area organic farmers in season ( vegetables, chicken, eggs) and online when I want something special.

Also, check out this link for historical perspective and buy her book on Amazon. No, I do not get a cut, but Rachael Carson is the one that inspired me in the 60's:
