I made plum jam for the first time and unfortunately I think I must have over cooked it because it has set almost solid.Does anyone have any ideas what I could do with the jam as it seems a shame to waste it.

Melt it down, add a little extra liquid, and use it as a fabulous dessert sauce!
Over ice cream.
Over pound cake.
Over bread pudding.
Over fruit cobbler.
Or use it as a syrup over pancakes.
The possibilities are endless.

Or, on a similar line to Silversage, melt it down and add some liquid and put it back in jars. E voila, your jam is jam again.
Maybe try it with one jar first to see how much water you need.

Heat some of it in the microwave and dunk some bisciuts in it.
Make a flan by putting some of it in the bottom of a dish and pout the custard over it before baking it.

My great grandma used to make the best plum jam from plums on her tree. She was a terrible cook and never used a recipe, so most years it was like a pancake syrup, man it was good on pancakes.
