My green coriander (hara dhaniya) always spoils in the fridge. Any tips on how to store green leafy vegetables fresh and long lasting, in the veggie section of refrigerator and also how to freeze it?

Thanks

Fresh coriander (known in the U.S. as cilantro) deteriorates very quickly after it's cut. There is no good way to prolong its life more than a day or two.

The best thing to do is to grow it in a small pot and cut as needed.

I agree, having your own little herb garden is the best way to go. Then you won't have this problem.

The way I treat cilantro; first it has to be somewhat dry not dripping wet. Then I remove the leaves and only the leaves put them on to double folded paper towels. When all the leaves are on the paper towel make a loose envelope out of the paper towel, lightly sprinkle water on the outside of the paper towel with your hands then put it in a plastic baggie and it will keep for approximately a week to 10 days. I've never and a luck freezing, cilantro. I just use some yesterday that I have had for over a week and it was fine.

i wrap it in paper towels and use those green bags that claim to extend the life of veggies... THEY WORK!

A bunch of cilantro lasts me a week, with very little of it getting brown or slimy.

I have always chopped the coriander then put it into ice cube trays and topped up with water to make coriander ice cubes. Seem to store ok. But i have to be honest you can't best cutting your own from the garden.

Wrapping in damp tissue or cloth is a good way to store delicate herbs. Then refrigerate.

I keep coriander in a glass filled with water in the refrigerator.
