 I recently purchased a GreenPan non-stick frying pan. In fact it sticks like crazy and stains very badly, impossible to clean with luke-warm water and soap. Anyone else got this problem? I'd like to take it up with the manufacturers

Is it brand new? If so, then return it to the place of purchase in exchange for something else or a refund.

Are you sure you did not cook with the pan on a very high heat ? With some of the cheaper coatings the y are permanently ruined by overheat abuse.

I am not familiar with that particular brand. Did you happen to use any sort of non-stick spray on the pan such as Pam? If so they usually contain lecithin which is what turns a brownish color in the pan when heated. It can be very difficult to clean and over time can stain a non stick pan
For a quality non stick try and locate a restaurant supply store in your area. Look for a Vollrath non stick pan with a ceramic coating. I recently paid about 40.00 for one. They are very durable and easy to clean. I have owned Calphalon professional non stick pans that have not held up as well as the Vollrath pan.
Restaurant supply stores have really good equipment at prices that are more competitive than those of chain or specialty retail shops.

Good cooking!

ok this pan was completely messed up for me. I hadnt used it since february, and my flatmate uses it, and the pan starts sticking and burning food. after some research,I found that a few of these pans have factory flaws, but it is covered under the 2 year non stick warranty.

I went to the shop, explained the problem, and got a new one. this week I have been using it again, and its great. no oil, great for stirfrys, eggs, sauces, etc.

You definitely need to. It's a non-stick pan so it should guarantee food release. It's obviously factory defect.
