When you cook, bake, or create stuff in the kitchen, do you wear an apron or not?

I wear an Apron 98% of the time I cook or bake. The other 2% when I don't is simply because I am cooking or baking when I am not at home.

I never wear an apron! I would look silly! A tee shirt is fine! And pants too of course! Be careful of all that hot frying oil! eeeeek!

I don't usually wear an apron. I will however, put one on if I am wearing good clothes (which would only happen if I was expecting company for dinner).

Here here! No apron! In fact I prefer to cook naked (I kid, I kid..).
If I baked at all, I could understand the use for an apron as flour is an evil necessity. However, for cooking.. no way! Even if you're making stuff with a lot of mess and oil and such, I still don't know how you can be so messy as to get it on your clothes :)

You could sew your own apron, I did that back in highschool, and I still have it. It is nice and long and purple. Then you will have a large selection of fabrics to choose from.

I wear an apron if I'm actively cooking or baking. I have a bunch of simple green ones I like. I never wear anything white or fancy - too much of a hassle to clean.
Remember the real reason to wear an apron is not to protect your clothes from the food, but rather to protect the food from your clothes.

I have two aprons.
Both have two pockets, they are both full length, the purple one being longer then the blue one.
One I sewed myself back in grade 8. It is my favourite. It is a lovely color purple, and has a lighter color purple flowers on it.
The second apron is light blue. My brother made it in sewing class back in highschool. It is shorter, and has pots and pans, and spoons, and other cooking tools on it.

Never wore an apron until I got clued in how to tie it since I cannot reach around to my back. Within a month I won a Paula Deen gift basket which included one of her aprons.

I pretty much always use an apron. I usually will buy white aprons, and I wash them with my white towels, and bleach them.

Apron...I made a blunder when I first started cooking and didn't have an apron and oil popped up all over me so I have learned my lesson.
