I know that it is difficult to think about, but the holiday season is right around the corner.

Let's start a discussion of the kitchen gadgets we use the most, love, hate or are just KEWL.

Here is my contribution. I have 2-3 thermometers, but this once is remote LOL

I really like Microplanes. My sister bought me one and it is just the best for grating cheeses and other foods. So much better than just the plain old cheese grater.

The kitchen gadget i use the most for the holidays would definitely be my good old reliable mixer. I enjoy making the dessert black samba that i give as christmas presents for family, relatives and close friends.

I definitely use my mixer a lot during the holidays. I don't prefer baking, but I make a lot of cookies during the holidays. Another useful gadget during the holidays is my food processor that i use to chop up veggies and nuts for different holiday part dips/spreads.

I am totally with you on that....they are so simple, but having a microplane makes all the difference in the world. I haven't used a regular grater in years!

I've just bought some digital scales and have found they have a thermometer to measure the room temperature!

Huh...I haven't seen that before but that would actually come in handy....will it measure the temp of what you are weighing? Say an egg?
