I made these today, and they are oh sooo yummy:p Enjoy

Ginger-Snaps from Magnificent Cookies Cookbook
Modified by liketobake (not the same as original recipe)

Yield: about 3 dozen
Oven temperature: 325-350 degrees F or (160 degrees C)
Baking time 12-14 minutes

Ingredients
Margarine or butter ½ cup
Lightly packed brown sugar 1 cup (or slightly less)
Egg 2 large or medium sized
Light molasses
baking soda 1-1/2 teaspoons
ground ginger 2 teaspoons
cinnamon ½ teaspoon
ground cloves ¼ teaspoon
ground allspice ¼ teaspoon

Preheat over to 325-350 degrees F. Light butter cookie sheets if desired (I don’t do this)

Electric mixer method
Cream butter or margarine
Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy
Add egg and molasses and beat well
Combine the remaining ingredients in a large bowl
Add gradually to creamed mixture and beat until dough is fully blended (you may need to kneed the dough by hand)
Drop by full teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheets
Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden
Let cookies cool (a wee bit)
Enjoy

LIKETOBAKE,

This looks great! thanks ! As I have said before my sister is the baker, not me. Since we are coming close to the holidays do you have an ancient and perfect gingerbread recipe?
