Hello, im kinda new to cooking and have started to make pasterys. For these pasterys I use recotta cheese which for me is a little tastless.

I would like to know what other cheeses would melt well in the pastery? (I was wanting somthing that puffs up like the maltese pasterys but im ok with anything)
What cheeses would be good to mix together if any?
Vegeaterian things that blend well with this?

Anyway! thanks like I said im new to cooking and i've been looking around trying to find the answers lol.#

You could make cheese straws which use both Parmesan and Cheddar. They are brilliant and incorporate very well with the pastry. Most cheeses would work but I would avoid white mould styles. :)

Definitely parmesan and cheddar, you could also think about using goats cheese with puff pastry aswell.
