Yesterday, I saw this kid who I've known since he was a little boy. He's 16 now. He just turned 16 last month.
And even though he's still very friendly and nice toward me, I was even shocked by what I saw!!
As he walked toward me to greet me, in his right hand was a lit cigarette!!! I asked him when did he start smoking. He said for a while now! Asked him was he doing any drugs or drinking.
He told me that he smoked pot, but his mom had objected to it. Says that he even drinks now and then as well!
Right away, I told him that it's the people whom he associates himself with who obviously might be turning him into living an irresponsible life at a very early age, or it might be peer pressure that's causing it.
He's already doing adult things!! I just hope that he hasn't become sexually active!!! However, I DID say to him that he will be judged by the company that he keeps. He's a bright and intelligent young man, but I worst fear that he might be turning sour!! :(
