Yelling and shouting at Staff Members.

The other day, there was an issue with a member here who has a very bad habit of yelling at members and calling them bad names.

It has now escelated to yelling at the admin.

Given that this member has gone completely out of control with this behavior, and has been sternly warned multiple times by myself and another Staff Member about this constant abuse, I've decided to suspend his account for 2 weeks to teach him a lesson.

In addition to that, he has also been given an infraction which will last for 6 months.

When allowed back, he will be strictly ordered to stop this behavior, or he will be banned for good.

Therefore, anyone who is caught doing this, your posts will be swiftly edited or deleted. Further abuse of this type will lead to the abuser being given a swift suspension or a permenant ban from the board with no chance at all of ever coming back.

Upon finding out that this member had posted the same spamming post three times in 3 different threads, I increased his suspension to 1 full month.

I think that this poster was just fed up with all of the obvious spam and advertisements on this board that seem to go unnoticed. It really seems to diminish the value of this forum.

While I feel that the yelling is uncalled for, I too find it frustrating.

You're right, yes, it CAN be very frustrating, indeed.

That is why I've banned every new member who has posted such things as false sigs, spamming ads, spamming links, spamming threads & posts and other stuff that is not allowed.

I've become so sick to death of constantly asking new members just signing up, not to post false sigs. Gave them a chance to remove them. Some did, but others wouldn't. Even posted a warning for them not to do it, but they continue to do it anyway. Therefore, they were henceforth suspended for their reckless and blatent behavior for a period of 1 month.

So far, there have been almost 15 new members here who were suspended for a month. They will be allowed to return, but if their reckless and bad behavior comes back with them, then they are gone for good.

The member mentioned above has even started 3 spamming posts himself, which is why his suspension went from 2 weeks to a month. Semigourmet and myself have repeatedly asked this member not to yell at others, but then he posted 3 spamming posts - all the same one, and in each one, he was yelling at Tyler. I will NOT allow that to happen.

How can you tell with the typed word if someone yelled, if they didn't use all CAPS?

Plus I've had to moderate that same spamming post 3 times in 3 separate threads. I just got plain sick to death of constantly asking him to cool it! Also, Semigourmet has asked him to calm down many times as well. He was even sent pm's on this.

He's against spammers, which is a good thing, but he has also turned HIMSELF into one!!
