Who has one of THESE?

A tater / fruit & veggie ricer / food mill.

It comes in handy for a lot of things, especially for ricing stringy sweet taters for sweet tater pie!! Just used it last week for this purpose!

Removes hard-to-get-out stringy fiber from the sweet taters for perfectly smooth pie fillings with no stringy fibers getting stuck in your throat or between your teeth!!

Isn't that thing a food mill? Also works well for making tomato sauces as it helps remove the seeds and skins.

I think a ricer tends to look more like a giant garlic press. (I have a ricer, but not a food mill)

The co DOES have a supposed revised version of that attachment shaped like a long cone.

I think you're very fortunate enough to have some of the OLD attachments because it seems that they don't make them now like they used to back then!

Yep!

The old attachments are solid cast metal or in the case of the colander -- tinned metal. No flimsy plastic.

It is a very good reason to keep the vintage 5qt narrow bowl K5a, K5ss , KA model G and Hobart N50 mixers repaired and running -- only these models can use all the bowl KA attachments!
