does anyone else here use kraft foods site to get some good recipes? especially their deserts?

I have used some Kraft tips before, and liked them. My sister makes a great mac and cheese from scratch, but I still like a velveeta cheese recipe. Remember, if it's good, it don't have to be GORMET LOL

haha. i love that site. they give a magazine i think every month. i get kind of excited because i know i will try something new. i think there deserts are better than the food recipes they have. but i will admit...i haven't tried that many dinner or lunch recipes except the orange BBQ chicken kabobs or something.

There is a beat up old Kraft recipe book at the cottage, I have to admit that one of my guilty pleasures is a recipe in it for 'weiner soup'. A great fall rainy day at the cottage recipe.

Please don't tell anyone that I make weiner soup!

No worrys with weiner soup,mate! We all love comfort food. let's kick it up a notch for company:

ITALIAN SAUSAGE SOUP

1 lb. ground Italian sausage
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
3 leaves fresh basil
1 can 15 oz. butter beans
1 can 15 oz. black beans
(beans may be substituted with beans of your choice)
1 can 15 oz. diced tomatoes
2 cups beef broth
grated Romano or Parmesan cheese

Cook sausage until brown, add garlic and basil. Sauté 4 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients: beans, tomato, broth.

Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes, then remove from heat.

The recipes there are way too high in fat and sodium for us since they rely so heavily on Kraft's processed foods. Some of the recipes for kids are pretty shocking.

Their community message boards are funny and helpful though.

I agree with you that Kraft products seem to be very high in fat. Lately every time I have kraft dinnner I get major heart burn if I have followed the reciepe. Probably a good idea to alter kraft reciepes on many of their products..
