Which way do you slice your sandwich?

I just made myself an egg sandwich for breakfast then I cut it in half. I like my sandwiches sliced on the diagonal, how about you? :)

I always slice mine vertically. Mom said that people who cut their sandwiches diagonally were just trying to be "fancy" :)

I will admit though, your way does open up more of the inside goodies.

Just don't tell me that you also cut the crust off ? LOL

I prefer the diagonal...but sometimes I will do down the middle.

oh man, it's not a matter of fancy, that diagonal corner is like an arrow of flavor about to pierce the palate. sometimes the vertical is too wide & clumsy, the slanty cut makes me more of a lady.

I myself like to slice my sandwich across on the diagonal.

My grandaughter used to call her other nanny the 'triangle nanny' and it took us quite a while to figure out why. Her other nanny would cut her sandwiches into triangles.

Kids are cute and really it was a practical way to let us know who she was talking about at a given time.

Don't slice, but IF I did, it would be on the diagonal... the corners are easy to chomp!

As a kid, I used to eat my sandwiches on the Square.... nibble off the crusts, then nibble each side carefully, keeping the sandwich as square as possible.

It was the slowest way (and most fun) to eat them while I read my book at lunch. Once the sandwich was done, so was lunch and I had to stop reading to go play... or do chores.

Still eat them that way sometimes.

I broke the tie by voting for not cutting, but this isn't always the case. If it's anything grilled, especially one with lots of cheese, I usually cut diagonally. If it's something messier like PB&J, Egg Salad, or Tuna Salad I cut down the middle.

For me, I like to cut it on diagonal because, it is easy to eat when it is cut that way.
