Rice and veg in same pot?

Is it Ok to cook white/brown rice and frozen veg in the same pot on the hob? Have been getting conflicting advice on whether this is ok or not.

I have cooked fresh veggies with rice, I don't know about frozen ones.

hmmm maybe its ok then, its just that i heard something comes of the rice while its cooking? so its not good to cook with anything else. Maybe ill just give it ago and if i die ill let you know :D

If it all came cooked and frozen together, no problem.

But from a completely raw state, I'd question that because brown rice takes longer to cook than white rice. By the time the brown rice is done, the white rice will more than likely be overcooked and gummy!

I have cooked brown rice or white rice with fresh veggies and also with frozen veggies. I throw the fresh veggies in with the rice during the last 5 minutes of cooking, frozen veggies go in during the last 1 minutes of cooking.
