I can't smell or taste my food!!!

I've caught a cold from my friend over the weekend, and now, I can't even smell or taste anything that I eat or drink!! I HATE that!!!

How long does this last? No wonder my friend won't eat. He can't taste his food!!!

I think my sense of smell & taste is slowly coming back now.

It'a a lowndown dirty shame to not be able to smell & taste your food & drink!!

BDH you can't taste because you can't smell they go hand in hand. Try some vicks and or a netti pot, but a night with vicks vapo steam should help clear it up. Try some Celstial Seasonings Lemon Zinger Tea and that will help clear some of the crud. Good Luck! Feel Better!

It comes and goes.

The bad cold IS drying up (miraculously, because it's usually about 2 weeks or more) and my sense of smell & taste IS returning, but slowly.

Yes they DO go hand-in-hand with each other. It's back, but the cold is not completely gone yet. I think by this weekend, it'll be gone.

My friend whom I mentioned above, still has HIS cold. His voice is hoarse and his cough is still there. Smoking, which he does, is not helping him get over it any faster.

And he STLL WON'T EAT RIGHT! I love him, but I just can't get him to eat like he should!
