Recipes for Diabetic

Hi,
what are the guidelines for preparing a dish for Diabetic Patients.

well, heha999 it depends on what they are using to control their diabetes. for instance if they are on oral medication and using diet and excercise then you can be a bit more lenient. For insulin dependant diabetics you need to be more strict. Such as staying within a limit of about 15-18 grams of carbs per meal, and so on. You need to know more about them or at least make sure that they carb, sugar, and fiber content is listed for each dish.
