It's not often I make a dessert, but when family & friends come to dinner, I make the effort, I tell them I haven't got a sweet tooth, then I eat it anyway!!

Serves 6
Prep Time 10 mins
Cooking Time 30 mins
Ingredients

1 kg Pears in natural juice
125g Plain (all purpose) flour
125g Caster (superfine) sugar
25g Cocoa powder
150g Butter, softened or low fat spread
1 Tsp Baking powder
2 Tsp Vanilla extract
1/4 Tsp Bicarbonate of soda
2 Large free range eggs
2 Handfuls of mini marshmallows
Method

Drain the juice from the pears and lay them in rows on the base of the dish
Either beat the eggs and add the flour, sugar bicarbonate of soda, baking powder, vanilla extract, cocoa powder and softened butter using a whisk or blitz the ingredients in a food processor
Finally stir in the mini marshmallows
Pour the mix over the pears
Bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven
Allow to cool slightly before serving
Serve with fresh cream or vanilla ice cream

Nice preparation, I'm thinking if we can modify it by adding more of Cocoa powder.
Because I prefer the bitter taste of the Cocoa when making such pudding or cakes.
