View Full Version : How to Make Nachos

CreekCorner

Ingredients:

* 32 unsalted baked tortilla chips (3 ounces)
* 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
* 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 2 medium tomatoes, chopped (2 cups)
* 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
* 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion
* 1 tablespoon red-wine vinegar or cider vinegar

In order to make Southwestern nachos first you must preheat the broiler. Place chips in a single layer on a non stick baking sheet. Set aside. Now in a small bowl, mix well the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese. Set to the side.

Next prepare the southwestern salsa. In a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, green onion, cilantro, garlic, and vinegar. Also mix well. Place 2 teaspoons of salsa in the center of each chip. Top each chip with 3/4 teaspoon of cheese mixture.

As we proceed in making our Southwestern nachos place the baking sheet on broiler rack. Broil 4 inches from the heat until cheese melts, about 1 to 2 minutes.

Finally using a spatula, place nachos on a serving platter. Serve immediately with remaining salsa on the side. Enjoy this Southwestern nacho recipe and share it with everyone.

Well, so you posted a recipe that looks useful.

I have been trying to post recipes all along minor glitch

Most of us would like to see some of those recipes posted directly on the forum instead of always through a link.

Links only last but for so long, and then they can disappear for no reason - leaving members to think that you are just providing useless links.

But you've done good by posting some of the recipes here on the forum. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

That's so true and I'll keep the great recipes coming

Are these recipes that you've already tried or plan to try yourself?

CreekCorner
04-16-2010, 06:34 PM
Yes I have tried all of these recipes. These recipes are my personal own recipes and can be found in my recipe archive. Some of my personal favorite recipes I can not take credit for because they belong to others. :)

Good, because you wouldn't want to take credit for recipes that you didn't create.

It could possibly cause the creaters to consider filing lawsuits for fraudulent claims against you, and you don't want that.

CreekCorner, you must please try to refrain from making pointless posts, as they do nothing to inform members here on things.

You wouldn't want to annoy anyone by doing this.

If they are your " masterpieces" Pineapple Head I would suggest that you have left the bar a little low ? My advice, which I hasten to add is given freely, are based on 40 years of cooking experience and having some " blow in" tell me otherwise is very disappointing !. Go and infect some other food forum with your mundane website and pointless posts. :)

Keeps going on about it...get over it

Ok guys, I must intervene here.

Please do not argue with each other on the forum. It only causes you both to be at-risk for getting an infraction.

I don't want to have to do that, but if I have to, if I need to, I will if this gets too far out of hand. Bury the hatchet, please.

If you must argue, then please do it through a pm, not on the forum so that they aren't in public view. That's what they're there for. Now enjoy the forum, please.

Hattori, no name calling either.

Thank you.

I know how to interact on the web with others and websites, my recipes are published on that "commercial site" they chose them to be on there and that's an accomplishment in itself.

Ok, but let that argument go, please.

We wouldn't want this to turn into a "who-gets-the-last-word" pissing contest.

I do as well.

But on other websites, I had to go to the Ignore list to put the names of argumentative members and spammers who I don't want to deal with there.

Here, I don't have to do that. I can just give out infractions , suspend or ban, ban, ban.

But only if things get too far out of hand.

That is DEFINITELTY a link to a spambot bogus website.

I've had to edit it out of lots of new members' posts.

Don't trust it!! And don't buy anything from it because it sounds like your credit card or debit card and personal info could very well be compromised! And don't sign up for any so-called free recipes to be e-mailed to you. Your e-mail address could also be compromised. This bogus bullcrap website is out to get you one way or another!!

I bought a silicone bundt cake pan from a website, Easybakeware.com, and found out that my debit card's personal info was compromised!!! I'm in the process of filing a criminal investigation and possibly criminal charges against that bogus co. I've since had the card replaced and was given a new one with a different card number.

Sounds like it is operated by hackers waiting to pounce on you! If something sounds too good to be true, then it probably IS!

Lastly, if I find out that a member here is trying to solicit ANY kind of merchandise here for whatever price and whatever reason, then they will immediately be dealt with and they will be swiftly BANNED.

My recipes are free. Since you are doing research. Cook books are not free but they are a popular thing on the internet. I don't post links to those sites here I may have a blog but so does everyone else. You see the same ads or cookbooks here. The links on my blog are the same popular cookbooks you see here.

You must not be able to read if you can't find the form to fill out your EMAIL address. Just sign up for your free recipes since your talking about it. If you are trying to actually get the free recipes submit the form. I never bought a thing and I get all the recipes to my email.

How about this HATTOR. Since you can't read... I can submit the email for you to get your free recipes since you are crying in my thread deal?

Creek, you need to be nice too! Don't buy into this!

CreekCorner, you're no angel in this either.

For the last time, let it go, or you will be disiplined. Consider this your last warning.

Semigourmet and myself have warned you both. Our final word stands.

Any more arguments from you, and you WILL be given an infraction. Get over it. Deal with it.

I'm going to disipline (ban & suspend) him for 3 days. I'm tired of trying to warn him over & over!

It's the only way left. We've tried taliking to him. It isn't working at all!

Then stop it, please, or next time, you'll be banned from here for life.

Please do not start this up again.

In case you haven't viewed your profile recently, might I suggest that you go look at it because you ARE on warning, which means that we can close your account and ban you the minute that you give us any more trouble.

Thread is now closed.
