View Full Version : Ground Beef Stroganoff

Servings 4-6



Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
¼ cup butter or margarine
¼ cup minced green onions (mostly white parts) chop some green tops for garnish
1/3 cup white wine
1 ¼ cups beef broth
1 tablespoon beef base
4 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon stone ground mustard (or Dijon should work)
1/3 cup sour cream




Directions

1. In a large skillet over medium heat add butter or margarine and ground beef. Brown beef in butter crumbling beef as it cooks; salt and pepper to taste.

2. After beef is browned add flour stirring constantly. Then add wine, beef broth, mustard, green onions and beef base; stir well. Bring to a boil turn down heat and let simmer until thickens about 20-30 minutes.

3. Stir in sour cream remove from heat and serve over egg noodles.

That looks really good!! I'm putting it on the menu for next week. I like the idea of the mustard. Yum! I will have to add mushrooms though. lol I put them in everything.
