I come here every day, but since there are rarely any new posts I have nothing to contribute on a daily basis...

I agree wholeheartedly! Let’s start a thread for beginners, Tomorrow’s chefs are today's home cooks. Here are some basics!!
BUT, the burden on the newbie is to post request for recipes and answers. We WILL respond , just ask? We are here to help. Let's kick BUTT!!!!!!
Here are some basic stock recipes:
http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/basicstocks.htm
BUT, the best way to get added value from the forum is to ask! Anyone can look on the internet for recipes, what we provide is tested recipes and techniques that take away the confusion and the trial and error.
We are here to serve :)

Do your crepes resemble pancakes?
or big flat pan cakes depending on your way of making pancakes but thinnner?

My crepes are so thin, you barely taste them. You haf to put fruit or cheese inside to make it really crepeish. Pigsnie bought the pan in France becuz he likes to waste money. There are pans made specifically for creeps. :)

They sound yummy. I will have to order one one day in a restaurant and see how they are before I try to make them.:p

I am feeling a bit under the weather myself. I have been trying to sleep but I can't for the last 6 hours at least. I did feel like I was burning up for a few hours and finally broke down and took an advil to reduce the fever I don't know if I have because the therometer is down stairs and I am upstairs and I don't want to wake the people who are downstairs.

OMG! Sorry ladies! I had no idea. I am lucky I haven't been sick for quite a few years. I am sorry for you. Pigsnielite I hope your mum feels better soon. You are a sweet heart making her soup and taking car of her. And Liketobake I hope you are feeling better soon! Make sure you hydrate water, water, water, and gatorade or powerade as you will sweat out your salts and elctrolites, you need to get them back to feel better. Take care ladies hope you're feeling better soon!
