Has anyone ever ordered one of those infomercial turbo ovens (http://www.thane.com/products/housewares/flavorwave-turbo/flavorwave-turbo.php)?
A new style, a different former entertainer endorsing it, but dang they always make it seem like the second coming in food cooking. Replace your microwave, your oven, your grill... any talent you think you might have accumulated :p
Just curious if they actually do work for some things, and more importantly, are they better or more efficient? Not that I have any intention of getting one, but they do hold my attention.

Hey, everyone thought the GF Grill was a gadget too, and look how well that works for some. I'm just curious if anyone actually bought one of those turbo ovens. They've certainly been around a while now. Pretty expensive pizza reheater though, lol.

Here's mine.

The Thane FlavorWave Countertop Convection oven.

I've used it quite a few times, and it's great!!

The powerful glass-enclosed orange glowing Halogen heating element and Cyclonic fan produces unheared-of super heated air that really cooks foods super-fast!!

Holy crap! Someone has one!

How does ir "really" work, Sherm? One thing I didn't like in the infomercial is they don't actually cook anything in it. It's all time lapsed, even though some of the stuff supposedly only take 15 minutes. They certainly would have had enough time to cook it right there on the show.
I didn't like the look of the frozen steaks. The outside was fine, but the inside still looked pretty rare, probably due to them be frozen.

Go cook something in yours for me. lol ;^) I want to see real pics by real cooks.

It is designed to roast, bake, broil and BBQ.

Cakes, breads and meats get done faster than the regular oven due to its ultra-modern high-speed technology.

The heating element cycles on and off to maintain the desired preset temp. In the meantime, the powerful Halogen heater is designed to produce heat hotter than the regular oven - about 30% hotter, to cooks foods extremely fast.

Next time I use mine, I'll post some pics of the food cooked in it.
