Hi all,
I am looking for any good recipes which are the richest in proteins. I want to get rid of fat and carbohydrates. This is due to my friends diet.
Regards.

Is this a diet to loose weight? If so don't cut out carbohydrates. Go for the carbs that are high in fiber. They make you fell fuller longer and burn slowly. Just try to stay away from refined sugars and flowers. carbs, in a balanced diet, make up to 65% of a person's daily intake.
proteins, in a balanced diet, should make up only about 35% of intake. They are great for building and repair of muscle and healthy brain function. They also have as many calories per gram as carbs though. Your friend should only increase their intake if he/she exercises during the day.
My advice is stay away from alcohol, many empty calories there. Eat a decent breakfast and don't eat in the 3 hours before you go to bed. Also, try to eat more small meals, than large ones. This is because when you eat larger meals and before bed it slows the metabolism. Eat plenty of fiberous unrefined foods. Replace sugary drinks with water. Go with "five a day the color way" for veggies. In my opinion Cardio is the best form of exercise, because it is good for your heart and burns calories.

Now, for good recipes.
you can make any variations you like, but here are some ideas. Also remember that portion control is important
Breakfast:
1 to 1 1/2 cups cooked oat meal, garnished with 1-2 tbs dark brown sugar, your choice of dried fruit
snack: low fat fruit yogurt cup with flax seed.
Lunch:
poached egg salad:
your choice of mixed greens
a few veggies of their choice. I recommend
green beans
some thinly sliced or minced onion or shallots
lemon vinaigrette. I like this recipe, http://www.recipezaar.com/Lemon-Vinaigrette-142017 , but you can use your own or even store bought.
2 eggs
Bring water and 1/2 tsp vinegar to a boil in a pot. There should be enough water so that it comes up three or four inches in the pot.
while waiting for water to boil crack eggs into their own ramekin. Toss greens, green beans, shallots and lemon dressing and plate.
Once the water has reached a boil reduce it to a low simmer, then stir in a circular motion. While the water is in motion (gentle, but def. there) gently putt the egg into the water using the ramekin to ease it in. The motion helps to keep the egg whites from spreading and also, along with the addition of the egg lowers the water to the correct temp. Once the whites hold together a bit you can put the next egg in. Each egg should take about 3 min. At this time, take it out with a slotted spoon and place on top of the salad.
OR
If she/he doesn't have enough time to prepare something like this or is on the go, they could make a sandwich. On whole wheat bread, with plenty of greens or sprouts. I recommend using a vinaigrette instead of mayo. For the main substance of the sandwich I would choose turkey, chicken, tuna or even avocado (my personal favorite).
snack: a piece of fruit, or some crunchy raw veggies and low fat dressing
Dinner.
whole wheat pasta with tomato sauce. portion size: about a cup
steamed baby carrots. portion size, about 1/2 cup
pan fried chicken breast. portion size,1
Follow direction on box for pasta. while that's going, start steaming your carrots. Then season your chicken. Put about 1 tbs olive oil in pan, wait for it to heat up. You'll know when you see "ribbons" or when you add a bit of water it pops. Make sure to sear it well on both sides. It's done when it reaches an internal temp of 160, or when it feels firm. Remove from heat and set aside to rest. The pasta should be done by now, so drain the water off and return it to the pot with tomato sauce. If cool, put it back on the stove for a bit. By now the carrots should be done and you are ready to enjoy a healthy and delicious meal with your friend.
AND THE BEST PART, DESSERT!
that's right!
Hot chocolate and your choice of fruit:
heat 2 ounces of dark chocolate and 6 oz skim milk together in a sauce pan sting occasionally until it becomes warm. Do not boil.
chocolate is good in small doses because it has antioxidants and the milk makes this a good source of calcium. Fruit and delicious, sweet and full of vitamins and minerals.
I've had a lot of fun responding to this thread. Nutrition is just as important as eating things that are tasty. Remember its all about making good choices and portion control! Good luck to you and your friend! I hope this helps. Please excuse my poor grammar and spelling. :D

I cut down carbs when I started losing weight, but never completely cut them out. But then again, days that I knew I would be doing more exercise, I would make carbs more of my daily intake than normal.
Breakfast was usually bacon and eggs with a small glass of skim or 2% milk. Days that I would bike 30 or so miles I would add bagels and some times pasta that I fixed from the night before.
