Serves 2-3

6 ounces spaghetti (or other pasta you would like to use)
Kosher salt
1 cup peas (frozen or canned) if canned drain.
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 egg
4 slices bacon, chopped
1 clove garlic smashed (not minced or chopped)

Directions:
start pasta water add kosher salt, and cook pasta according to package directions. If using frozen peas throw them into the pasta water about 5 minutes before you drain the pasta.

Meanwhile in a 2 cup measuring cup, mix together cream, egg, Parmesan cheese, and pepper. Set aside.

In large skillet over medium heat; add bacon and garlic. cook until bacon is done to your liking I like min a bit softer than crispy. with a slotted spoon remove from pan to a paper towel to drian. discard garlic. Remove all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon grease from the pan.

Add the pasta to the skillet and toss. Add the cream mixture, and cook tossing 2 - 4 minutes or until a thick sauce forms to the pasta. (if using canned peas, add now) toss to warm peas. and sprinkle with bacon and serve. VERY NICE!

I added a bit more cream. 1/4 cup is the recipe I like mroe sauce. also topped with a bit of fresh ground black pepper and some fresh shredded Parmesan.

I'm going to do it.

I just need some heavy cream and green peas. I think I got everything else.

You can add butter to milk for heavy cream, Sherm. I've done that before but I don't remember the ratio. If you have butter and milk ;^) It worked for me at the time because I didn't have heavy cream for something I was making.

DW does not like peas (childhood trauma from being forced to eat peas ), so I think I could add steamed broccoli in their place for a tasty alternative. Maybe some tender asparagus might also work well. Sounds tasty and looks wonderful. Thanks for the pic and the recipe.
