Ingredients:

* 1 long thin loaf of French bread
* butter, softened
* fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation:
Slice loaf into 1/4-inch slices. Spread slices with butter then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Place on a cake rack or other rack over a baking sheet, so drips will be caught and air will move around the slices. Bake at 325° for about 20 minutes, or until dry and very crispy.

It will be ready in 20 minutes.

That sounds like a delicious snack, by itself, or as a dipper.

Easy,too, but guests will be impressed that they are homemade!

Good idea, khanriaz!

That's all there is to that? Cool. I just bought another loaf of french bread today, too.
Thanks.

That sounds easy enough. Maybe I'll bake a loaf of french bread tonight and make this recipe tomorrow. Thank you!

What is Melba for, I thought was a recipe with peaches and custard.

When I first saw the post I thought it was going to involve peaches too. I remember a peach melba from an episode of Good Eats.

Peach Melba IS a desert.

It is entirely different from Melba toast.
