I love to make things for others for Christmas, or sometimes thier birthdays etc. I thought it would be nice to share those with you all and the feed back I have gotten from them. it's fun to do and they seem to love it. I wil start by posting a few recipes, and hopefully you will all add to it so that we can make more homemade gifts from the kitchen.

the Tortilla soup mix seemed to be a BIG hit and was very simple for those who don't cook much.

2 medium carrots, chopped (1 cup)
2 medium stalks celery, chopped (1 cup)
2 pounds ham, smoked turkey thighs or smoked turkey wings
